This conflict is getting boring. All of the programs are wrong.

It's this simple:

65nm = CoreTemp
45nm = RealTemp

Default Real Temp or BIOS

In BIOS it says cpu temp is 26C at idle. I boot into Windows, and start Real Temp, and it says cpu temp is 42C at idle. Which is correct?

Ambient is about 75F

Realteimp is FAR more accurate on my E8400. Coretemp said i was running 59C, when in reality i was running a TOP temp of 49C.

Also (sri, can't remember where the thread was, but check threads by unclewebb or just posts by unclewebb) please remember that these programs don't necessarily read all that accurately at idle. From what I gather reading unclewebb's elucidations is that the intel temp sensors aren't accurate at low temps, and get more accurate at higher temps / load.

Core Temp and Realtemp get the same reading for me, but Real Temp gets my CPU speed at 2.7Ghz, when I currently have it at 2Ghz.

tried both with the setup in my machine, and both say the CPU isn't supported. I guess they're for Intel Core types only. Trying speedfan, but I can't figure out which of the temps is the CPU
