Should be written as Core 0 or else just CPU

In speedfan I have
Temp1: 33C Temp2: 39C HD1: 25C Core: 49C (pretty sure this is my video card, nvidia control panel reports the same temp) Ambient: 0C (uhh, no) the VCORE reports 1.28V which is about the same as the bios, bios reported 43C for the core temp last time I looked, before this boot up.

GPU-Z is also reporting 49C
I think it's Temp2 in speedfan, closest to my CPU core and did touch 43C here in windows, though it is sitting at 39 now, which might be a bit low.

Run a "Stress" test to see how it affects the temperatures in Speedfan.

Running Prime95 and yeah, temp2 moved up to 51C, temp1 slightly up to 35C, and 'Core' remained at 49. So 1 has to be the CPU, Core the nvidia card, and 2 the motherboard by process of elimination, it's the only other temp listed in the bios and was around that level. THanks for your help mega

I also have a beta section available for RealTemp.
http://www.fileden.com/files/2008/3/...alTempBeta.zip I've updated the GUI with modern XP style buttons and I've also added user adjustable colors for the GUI and text. ![]() You can double left click on RealTemp to access Mini Mode. For those that still don't trust RealTemp with 65nm all I can say is that I have tested 45nm and 65nm processors, both Dual and Quad core. My choices for TjMax are not mistakes. They are what I believe to be true based on my testing. Intel plans to fully document TjMax and how these on chip temperature sensors work on 45nm processors at the upcoming IDF later this week. I hope they also release data for the 65nm processors as well but that might not happen. They plan to use RealTemp at the IDF and I believe there will be a lecture on how to calibrate these processors for more accurate temperatures. Should be an interesting week. AnandTech and Tom's Hardware will be covering this event. |
