Default Cara and Zelix's Dice Plan

Hey guys well me and Caraboose have grown the erge to push our chips to the max, and considering I have the right motherboard to do that with.. why not?

We have in our hands a:

Intel E8400

Intel Q6600

Intel P4 544 (Lg775 2.8ghz)

Rig we will be benching in is whats in my sig. But we will be using Caraboose's Gtx 280 or 280's And OCZ Reaper modules.

Benches that will be used:

3DMARK Vantage
3DMARK 06

And possibly a crysis benchmark.

We will also be using Cara's test bench he has made.

*Stay tuned*

Little update already;
We wont be doing suicide runs on the E8400 and Q6600, but the P4 will be going all the way, if it lives good for it.

You won't kill that P4, trust me. They can take 1.85-1.95 volts and keep chugging without issue. That should be a good chip to get a high CPU-z validation. You should join the OCN Hwbot team and submit your scores.

I took a P4 651 to over 6 Ghz on DICE and an Intel P965 chipset board. See sig for CPU-z validation, and good luck!

Looks good! and a little tip! Don't overfill your pot with acetone! and always keep it nice and stirred as your temps will stay more stable and lower! The smaller the chunks of dice you make the better, and buy it in the blocks as it lasts longer in the cooler!

Thats a good chip though, 65 nm and 3.4ghz stock speed.

The one we got on hands is a Prescott 90nm 2.8ghz stock speed. But we will have it rumbling on a ud3p! i expect good results!

I'm also really interested to see how high you can that P4.
