Default Extreme OC Programs

Have yet to run my first DICE run, but thought it would be nice to have some advice from "Experienced Extreme liquid OC'ers" on in windows OC programs.

I intend to OC via BIOS/XP minimal, but would like to know what programs help OC best within windows for those last minute maximum benchies?

Archive --There's alot of stuff in there. Not all of it works on all CPUs though so it's a good idea to try out the stuff on air cooling before you start on dice.

Have already OC'ed these chips to 5 GHz on water, and intend to play with the BIOS again before DICE/LN2 runs.

Thanks for the link though.

I was saying it's a good idea to try running the programs on normal cooling. Like you don't want to be wasting your DICE run finding out that the programs you downloaded don't work for your CPU.

Good point, reworked OP to reflect the fact I was referring to XP minimal.

I like SetFSB not so much for getting anymore Mhz when I get to desktop but for backing down a unstable OC enough to run SPI. It works great for that and I don't have to keep dropping clocks and re-booting till I'm stable enough to run SPI.

I always save my screen shots to a mem stick as soon as I get them, the CPU-Z file to, that way if I crash I know its saved plus I can just move the mem stick to another comp to do validations if I want to. That's the first thing I do is get that CPU-Z saved when I hit desktop..

Thanks Ira....I've been lucky with water, and was thinking of running XP on a USB boot stick for DICE.....til I can afford lhe..

Just have to buy more D9 ram kits, as I'm sure to burn @ least one set.....Good that they're cheap ATM.

Might make this old TT Blue Orb Slug into a NB pot:

I've never tried booting off a stick, its supposed to work pretty well.

I just bought a stick of 800 Ballistix GMH to get one full set of D9 again, when its gone I guess I'll start looking at i7 or Phenom. The DDR3 is running SPI pretty fast, I like that.

I bet you could make a good one out of that. I need to get a mount made for that one I made, I bet I wouldn't kill as many mobo's if I would DICE it...

When are you going to try the DICE out? Be sure to yell at me when you do so I don't miss it.

DICE..........next Friday? I'll give ya holler!

If KingPin NB doesn't get here, I'll use the DIY.

Got 5Lbs DICE today.......Just gonna play stupid with it..

Taking pics, crushing DICE and OC'ing via BIOS doesn't leave much time for Pics..
