So i'm about to start my first DICE run. Got all the materials ready. But i have one question. I have the DFI Lanparty UT X58-T3eH8 board and it digital pwms instead of caps. Is it safe to insulate them? Like will they overheat? My research tells me both ways.. i'm totally clueless now.
pic of the digital pwms if you don't know what i'm talking about.

I've never benched on board with digital PWM, but I have some experience on standard boards. Whole area around socked is cooled too, when you're benching. Below you've got photo from my first bench. Board is DFI DK P35, I used only armaflex sheets and paper towels to insulate board. Both radiators, which you can see were cold, but no water with good airflow. Without airflow I've got some water for a while, so it's important thing.
Remember that frost doesn't kill your board, so keep everything frozen all the time. ![]() Good luck

I always keep a couple of fans blowing across the back of my mobo to help cool v-regs and it helps to keep condensation from forming to. You may want to do the same thing to your problematic areas. Hey it can only help, cant hurt..
...I even do that on my non-sub zero rigs.
