Hola, mi amigos, Intended to make my virgin DICE run this weekend, but a Gibson 6 string caught my eye/Bank account. Hey, we drummers have other addictions.

But, Lu Lin Rui is due into PDX SeaTac from Guangzhou on 9/14 9/7 9/12 with a retail E6500K in hand; which should give me enough hours to prep the BioStar TPower,

and book the extra roadhouse tour dates to include his tenor sax in our lineup. Updates/pics coming, but tips, clues & help for virgin DICER welcomed.


Update on the Intel retail China 6 month pilot test market for E6500K; retail release slated for 8/10 was leaked to outlet on 8/7 @ $127.50USD and held @ $100USD yesterday.

Down to $85.75 today, but only seen @ retail market level as combo purchase w/BioStar TPower mobo or TT Ultra 90 HS/F...should hit CPU only retail @ $74USD as stock becomes available within weeks.

Wer're still talking slated US retail release as mid February 2010. And don't quote me on this as my simplified Chinese, is simply less qualified than my EspaÑol....."no cerveza no trabajo"....

Very nice.

Have you, or anyone you know, hard modded their tpower for more vcore? Supposedly the BIOS is temperamental and you need to use switches to turn up the juice after you get out of BIOS.

I'm tempted to do it anyway, but feel a little bit gun shy since I just killed the Commando.

I traded a DFI CF/Opty 165/Geil One setup for this i45, just to push me into extreme cooling.

Here's a vmod thread. Only one I've found so far.....

On another note, be careful DICEing near your pretty Cyberdruid stuff. Acetone can splatter with the CO2 fizz and won't play nice with any wood finishes.

Not a problem, as I'll be DICEing on separate bench with my DIY aluminum tech. I do enough work with guitars to know that acetone and poly/nitro finishes don't mix.
