Default BenBrown's Ice Dragon

The time has come for me to put some AMD and some cold stuff together. I will be starting out with DICE since that is the easiest to get. I have found a local welding supplier that has pretty cheap proces for LN2 but I have to get a ton of it at one time so I am still shopping around.

First lets start off with some pics of me getting everything setup and see how it all looks together:
Here is my MSI K9A2 Platinum with a lapped Phenom II 940 BE all snuggled in.

Here are some of the additional items that are going with it

Another shot of the prepped board with CPU and four ready and waiting 4870s

Here we are with everything staged to see how well everything fits together and how cool it looks

Another view.

And one final view from the top down.

I hope to get some dice this weekend (8-21-09) and start playing around and I will be sure to post some pics and maybe video of the whole thing. This should be fun

Nice, but I'd say 4x4870's is a bit much. Wouldn't it be better just to use a 4870X2 as such? Or is there another reason for the quadfire? Just wondering is all

Well I have purchased the 4870's over time so it just worked out that way. That is really the only reason.

I'd throw a pci vid card in there for the dice run.
:dit: why don't you keep a pci vid on hand to see if it will allow you to get pass the wall when you find it. That would be good info.

We shall see once I start really pushing the clocks, but initial tests with air did not yield any strange results and they seemed to scale like I thought they would.
