doing 5Ghz at water is doable if you got a good chip, MoBo with the right BIOS and memory. Tbh, if you want to bench at 5Ghz you'll need Dice or Ln2, but for suicide OC's water is good with the right ambient

What is your budget?

You will need to look into insulation for this as well.

For your motherboard I would recommend kneaded eraser! It will not leave any marks after you are done with it and it works really great! Never had a problem using it and I even did a DICE run on three different CPU's all in one day and it did the job! I thought for sure that having to get access to the CPU to swap it would cause condensation to get under the eraser and fry my board on the next run...

To my surprise it did not do anything, even after 3 CPU's

thats what i was thinking. i know i have the headroom, im sitting at 4.2 at 1.19v right now with HT off though, it takes 1.22 with HT on. i got the boards NB on water so i can pump the juice into that if needed. but i dont have a huge budget. i was thinking about making a pot out of a pipe and a end fitting.

You might want to check this thread out:

http://www.overclock.net/dry-ice-liq...e-cpu-pot.html

Neoprene would also be your best bet for insulation of the actual pot itself.

Make sure that you take into consideration the base of your fitting (lapping it, making sure that it covers your CPU, etc.).

You also need to think of a way to use a back plate to hold the pot down.

Hope this helps!

Just use a copper tube with a cap silver soldered to it. Not as good as a thick base but it works. If you want a thick base cut out a 1/2-3/4" thick round the ID of the pipe and solder that in. Just drill a bunch of holes in it down to a 1/8" or so from the base. Make a hold down flate out of something, CPVC or UHMW something like that.

This is a cap pot I made for my NB.
