![]() Vcore lead is to a 50K variable resistor then to ground (I used a fan header on the mobo). Vdroop is just a 100K variable resistor between the leads. If you don't want to solder this one a pencil mod on the resistor works reasonable well. Here's a much more elegant picture of the mod that Bartx did on his P5B Deluxe.

Well Thank you Sir! Thats just what we needed to know..
..How much does that increase v-core range?Man he did do a super slick solder job on that no doubt, yours looks great to! I'll have to bust out a magnifying glass just to goop it on mine, then use a knife point to scrape it off between the contacts.. ..If that doesn't work I'll bust out the grinder on it.. ..I need to get a fine tip pencil iron before I even try that. Radio Shack here I come! I need trim pots and irons! Hey I better buy a mobo first, I forgot that part...![]() Appreciate it Patch!

The mod will increase v-core possibilities to well over 2v on any of the boards. Their BIOS voltage ranges are different, though. Commando goes to 1.85v, but the others top out at about 1.7-1.75v (I think) in BIOS options.
I use loupes or a magnifying glass for the mods.

..I haven't even proofed my mobo yet..I bought a DFI Ultra D that I want to DICE my 150 Opty on,and have been playing with that, plus I'm sawing some v-reg HS out of 1'x.5" copper flat bar, so I guess I haven't been totally lazy.. .. ...Might be because of all this good Bock beer for October fest..![]() Hopefully by next week-end. Good Luck with the flash! Maybe you can pick up a new bios chip if it wont flash.

Oh OK since your twisting my arm... ..![]() Kind of hate to grease up the DFI since its so clean, but I'm going to. ![]() ![]() This is 1/2" thick C110 copper, dead soft, should work better then ram sinks on v-regs. I have some 1/4" brass to make the mounts with but I may pick up some 1/8" so it wont look as clunky, maybe.Lots of sawing left to do, but I enjoy it. EDIT: Yes my fingernails are dirty, I've been sawing copper after all.. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Not bad
![]() That motherboard looks fancy like you said! Why don't you just use kneaded erasers for it? No need to grease her up

Thanks!
Yeah really I probably should,I think I will, and no grease in the socket, eraser and some liquid tape should be fine for a night of DICE. I'm going to try not to kill her. It came with all the drivers and cables, the only thing that it didn't have was the bios chip puller, I need to find one of those while there's still a chance so it will be complete. I have a pretty good set of 2x512 Crucial 16TGY ram for her to. The Opty I'll use I could hit a 3200Mhz just using a 320W TEC, so DICE might get me a decent run, if I can remember how to clock s/939..
