What BIOS is currently the best for the EVGA x58 Classified e759?

I heard there were some issues with the newest one on the e760, is this true for the e759 also?

I do not need 2TB support anyway with my HDD setup, so should i just go with the one right before that (S227)?

Hi, I'm new to the forums. I'm particularly looking for anyone who has overclocked RAM with the P5Q Deluxe and/or OCZ Flex EX PC6400.

I ordered a new computer in October with OCZ RAM and I'm wondering how to overclock it. I heard that DDR2 800MHz can overclock to 1066MHz and by the heatsinks on it, it can be watercooled for overclocking. It does not get hot much when on air. But I'm having trouble getting it up there.

Rig Specs:

*OCZ Flex EX (2X2GB) DDR2 PC6400@2.1v 4-4-3-15
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-400-_-Product

*ASUS P5Q Deluxe Mobo
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-297-_-Product

*Intel Q9550 Quad@2.83GHz
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-041-_-Product

I have gotten the CPU clocked to 3.8GHz(8.5X450) and the ram to 900MHz, but the ram doesn't want to go any higher. I tried changing the timings to 5-5-5-15 and that wouldn't solve it. Changing the FSB ratio didn't so anything. Upping the northbridge to 1.4v didn't do squat. I'm sort of at a dead end as I bought the ram, mainly to overclock to 1066, possibly keeping the ram timings the same.

Here's current screenshots of my bios...

Sorry about the large screenshots, my firefox resizes them, most people use firefox anyways....

Anyone have a solution with the BIOS screenshots? I don't know what everything means, the manual doesn't give much except the parameters.

Right, I can't get my said mobo to flash. After extensively searching the web, I am stuck! I am repeatedly getting the BIOS ID Error, message when trying to flash using a USB drive.

Firstly, it's a revision 1.1, which I can't find on the Gigabyte website. This 1.1 is shown on the mobo, on the box, and in Everest. So I know I'm not wrong there. I did download all 3 versions though, and they appear to be the same to the byte. However I have tried 2 or 3 of them anyway to be sure.

I also found some 1.x versions of F10, which I tried also with the same results.

I used @BIOS and tried using the F10 from file, and using their servers. Unfortunately Win7 doesn't seem to like this and after reaching 100% and been prompted to install the BIOS ("The screen will freeze for a few seconds" dialogue), It crashes. Despite being ran as Admin, and in compatibility mode with XP SP3.

Second help thread of the day all aiming towards installing this godamn Q3800! 10 hours ago I was overwhelmed with nerdy excitment, unfortunately have spent most of the day messing around instead in an exadurated geeky gloom

so i just learned that the reason my mobo doesn't have beeps is because theres no internal speaker on antec 900. i just took my old small speaker out of my other OLD case and tested on my p35-ds3l. the beep was short continious beeps. in the mobo manual it refers short continious beeps to power error. so could this mean my psu is the problem?

p.s i flashed the mobo and it stated it was successful but upon restart i would get a blank screen/ no post. so far i think the culprit is still the mobo but could it be the psu? the psu never had issues before and i doubt flashing the bios could kill a psu. the psu i have is also a high quality one too.

any suggestion on what to do? i might to use another psu tomorrow to test, also could this power error be the mobo or is it always refering to the psu?

I last OC'd it in mid summer and just yesterday randomly out of the blue I get a message booting up saying OC failed... Really strange to happen this late as I thoroughly tested my OC's. Basically, what are the main things to look at when OC'ing as I did have help in the past setting my BIOS settings up but I didn't really know 100% what I was doing :D. My board is an Asus P5E and I'm running Rampage Formula 0803 BIOS. I'll probably write down my settings in a bit and post them here as well.

I've changed the battery only a few days ago, yet the problem still persists.
