HDD Bench General Usage

Hi, I need a hard disk benchmarking utility that is accurate as possible but tests the performance of a drive with a selection of files to get overall performace rating compared to another drive. The reason for this is i have an ISCSI drive and i need to see what its like compared to the original drives in the server

oh ive already tryed HDTach and it gave very strange results in windows 7. tho Diskbench seemed to make more sence

I ran the trial version of 3d mark vantage - performance and all default settings

My GPU seems low though? Don't normally gtx 260's 216 cores get 10,000?

I was wondering if someone can help me here. I apologise in advance if this is the wrong place to post this, I looked at other forums and this seemed the most relevant. I just ran Vantage for the first time, and it gave me no 3DMark score. It rated my GPU score 10109 and my CPU score 38040, but I got no 3DMark score. Can anyone tell me why that could be? I'm running the Windows 7 RC Client and everything runs well, except I got no 3D score. If someone here could help me, I'd be grateful. Thanks in advance!

Hi Guys,

Just a quick question - ive recently downloaded and run the trial version of 3DMark Vantage. Given the rig in my signature, is a score of 10316 around what you would have expected ?.

Ive been searching around the forums for similarly specced systems, and I *think* that looks lower than I should be hitting. Im not particularly benchmark driven, but can anyone shed some light on whether a) this is correct and b) if not does it indicate something is wrong ?.

Finally re-overclocked my system as seen in my specs below and I got 14688. How's the result? Last time I ran the test my highest was 13500 so big improvement it seems :D Was hoping for 15k though :mad:

Blue and Green Disk Icons in Crysis Bench Tool

When I run the Mad Boris Crysis Benchmarking Tool, there are two icons shaped like 3.5" floppies that flash in the upper left corner.
One of them is blue, the other is green.
I've used this benchmark on several systems, and they all flash to some degree.
Obviously, they are indicating some sort of disk access, but my questions are:

1. Why two separate icons,
2. What does each one indicate.

3dmark06 lower score after .. ?

hello people

i had my cpu overclocked to 3.36 ghz

and my evga 9800gtx superclocked stock

i got 13537

so i OCed my CPU to 3.4 <-- and i got lower score after test

so i thought it was from the Temp then i got back to 3.36

and did the test again ... still getting low scores !

under 13000

and now i oced my 9800gtx i finally got the 13537 back !

what happened ? was I having bugs before and getting higher scores ?

benchmark software that shows individual results ?

i'm currently looking for a benchmark program that lets me see the freqency table .
i'm looking for this so i can use that data for my task i got in the lesson of statistics. Since we could choose wich statistic we could use i thought this was the one that intrested me the most. please let me know as soon as possible due to some bad data (i did not get to choose until it all went wrong ) we lost a lot of time

ok so as you can see on my sig i got a Q6600 oc to 3.4ghz. a gts 250 oc core 785 mhz shaders 1952 mhz and the memory 1201 mhz. and i do not have the 8500 gt as physx any more. when i do 3d mark my gpu score seems low? it was 6650 and my cpu is 12239. shouldn't my gpu be higher?

I bought the 1000w psu thinking my silverstone just didn't have enough juice to run it anymore. I'm getting the same results. I just don't know what is wrong here now. I already ran lintest and thought 13 was enough times to run at max to say it was stable. If you guys think more then I will. I'm currently running memtest to double check on that. Then I will run atitool and furmark on each card seperate to see any issues there. If you think it's something else please enlighten me. :(

memtest 110% 3 processes 1024/1024/remaining ram(900 something)
atitool 20 min no errors at stock speed

decided to push my system. only to find out, that it crashed most times.
so i placed the whole system near open window (at night) and had 3 big external fans blast cold air at the open side of it :D

got some pretty cool results

OCCT & Intel burn LINPACK--ANYONE KNOW WHY--

Trying to figure this out when running LINPACK when it gets up to 100% every once in awhile it will freeze for a 1/2 seconds sometimes it will go 5 minutes fine, I'm just testing to see how high my temps get and they are fine it stay's below 50C at 100% load, No errors and games play fine, I never have any problems. Maybe 64bit, Drivers ? I don't know like I said it passes the linpack test with no errors...

Edit: Voltage is fine and have switched out the memory...

At all stock settings 3.0Ghz it also does it, Anyone know what causes this or ever had this issue?

Is this 3dMark Vantage score matching of my OC and setup?

Buddy of mine has an i7 920 currently at 3.5ghz. I've been helping him overclock it but when he runs Vantage at 3.5ghz, his cpu score returns with 21000 on performance. This seems extremely low for a vantage score. So I downclocked my i7 to 3.5 and got a 41000 score to compare.

Checked to make sure his HT was enabled. He is prime95 stable for 30mins and passes linx 20 passes with no errors.

Any ideas? I'm lost.

His setup is i7 920 39xxA / Bloodrage GTI / Mushkin Redline

3D Mark Vantage question

Why is it when I run my processor at 3.7ghz I get a better overall score than when I run it at 3.8ghz? 3.7ghz i get 11694 and 3.8ghz i get 11563. My cpu score goes up but my gpu score drops. This overclock has been stable with 3 hours of prime, a long run of intel burn test, and some folding. I think my system just likes the 3.7 better as I can run much lower voltages at that speed which in turn gives off less heat.

I would have thought that I would have gotten a better score with that high of an overclock.

Do you know of...

My company makes HD Video Multiplex Systems and our new hardware is using 95%+ of the system BUS. Is there any software that can monitor the system BUSs? Like PCI-E, PCI-X, and FSB for bandwidth usage and throughput?

alright so I got windows 7 and decided to benchmark er up! first thing I notice when i get my first scores back is I LOST 4000 points in vantage?!?! ***?

so I did a little analysis and found that EVERYTHING was higher in windows 7 except my physics test where I went from 150.67 to 24.54???

I have NO idea what happened... thoughts? and NO I have not tried to overclock my processor whatso ever
