You see, there is known breakage. The final moments during the finales tend to result in a crash, for instance. But it's progress, for sure. Obviously the next step would be to get the original survivors into the South in a playable state.

"The PC version of Modern Warfare 2 has actually outsold the PC version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in its first week," confirms Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling, "making it the most successful PC version."

It seems that Infinity Ward could have done no wrong with Modern Warfare 2. It managed to alienate a huge section of the PC gamer community, earn nothing but negative press about the PC release, and yet still eclipse the sales of Call of Duty 4. In any case, it would appear that dedicated servers are not quite as important to most PC gamers as some of them make out.

Of course, it doesn't help that most of the supposed boycotters are playing the game right now.

This is the day that the quality of games will be changed. Activision proved you can make a game with a 5 hour campaign, many features missing in the PC version, and the DLC already included in the game, but you have to pay to unlock it, yet still sell more copies than the previous, better versions.

There's three things you can do. Once you realize what's happening, you can open fire on the other terrorists that are with you. They'll turn around and kill you quickly, but that is an option. You can do nothing for the first half of that level too. You're not obligated to do anything other than walk and watch, which I think portrays another completely different feeling of helplessness. And the third option is [that] you can open fire.

Hoofddorp - The boss of author and develepor Rockstar, Dan Houser, tips us toe the new sequal in the Grand Theft Auto series.

He does that in an interview with the British newspaper The Times. According to Dan Houser, the script has about 1000 pages.

In the interview he mentions that Rockstar is working hard on two titles: Red Dead Redemption, which releases spring 2010 and the new sequal to the Grand Theft Auto series.

According to Dan Houser, the game is in an early stage: he says that he is still busy writing the script. Dan Houser says that the scrips has about 1000 pages. Which is 100 times more than an average movie. Houser: "First we make up the city, and then we create the characters."

New city

In what city the new Grand Theft Auto will be, is still to be unknown. In the manuals of Grand Theft Auto IV: Episodes from Libery City the developer Rockstar hinted a possible new location. Activision Blizzard said its video game "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" scored record sales of US$550 million in its first five days, but the company is still concerned about weak consumer spending.

The game, a "first-person-shooter" that lets gamers portray elite soldiers hunting down targets in locations ranging from South America to Afghanistan, beat last year's blockbuster "Grand Theft Auto IV" from Take-Two Interactive Software Inc which sold more than US$500 million in its first week....

...Analysts' sales estimates for the US$60 game range from 11 million to 13 million units by the end of 2009...

...Despite the success of 'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2', Activision Blizzard remains cautious about the U.S. and global economy as well as other variables that can affect industry fundamentals and our own performance, including consumer spending which remains a significant concern," he said in a statement...

...Price cuts from home console makers Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony had been expected to help boost software sales since September, but have so far proven to have little affect on game sales...

Sony had a big management meeting in Japan today, where the tech giant announced some extremely vague plans for what's initially being called the Sony Online Service -- a new "iTunes-like" service built on the PlayStation Network that will sell books, music, and movies. That's really all we know for now -- Sony execs didn't set a launch date or provide any specifics -- but the move's been rumored for a while and makes total sense, considering Sony's huge investment in running PSN and vast array of products it could tie into the service, like the Reader e-book line, the PSP, and the various Network Walkmans. Now, whether or not Sony can manage to make good on this massive potential remains to be seen -- we've got high hopes, but this isn't a small challenge.

For those who don't understand:
Biohazard 5 Alternate Edition (Resident Evil 5) we all heard about from TGS - awhile back they announced that there has been a change in plans for the US and EU.

The content in Alternate Edition will be released as DLC separately or can all be had on the Gold Edition copy.
There will be 2 new story modes. 1 of them is the prequel. The other is still TBA.
There will be 2 new costume packs.
And Mercenary's Mode gets a refresh with 8 new characters. I suspect Leon, Claire, and possibly even Krauser and/or Ada in there. That'd be cool.

2/17 for first costume pack and LOST IN NIGHTMAREs.
3/4 for the second costume pack and the other story mode. Both on the 360. The PS3 gets it a day later. No word on PC :(

The press release is all mixed up. :p
