Whenever I want to control iTunes through the keyboard's music side panel, I have to have the iTunes window open and selected. Is there any way to make a shortcut for my keyboard to not require me to alt-tab and maximize iTunes in order to control my music?
The mouse I'm using now is a Microsoft Laser Mouse 5000, and it sucks.
Do you guys think I will enjoy the Salmosa? I think I will only because this Microsoft mouse is awful and I cannot stand playing a game and having to use a lot of force just to middle click to throw a grenade.

I've put 50 lbs worth of textbooks and weights and it does NOT flatten... my mouse always jumps around the screen because of these ripples/waves. I don't want to have thrown away $15 for a mousepad I can't even use.

I was wondering if going over the mousepad with a steam ironer is a good idea.. maybe put a shirt between the iron and mousepad in case it damages the pad?

how did you solve this stupid issue?

(whoever decided to package a "GAMING" mousepad as a rolled up tube is a genius...)

thanks for any help

I will most likely be getting a 46" Samsung LCD TV next week and I have plans to sometime in the future get a PS3 so I can play GT5. I would also use the PS3 for Blu Ray playing.

In the mean time, I will have the TV hooked up to my PC as I already have some HD videos on here. Would it be a good idea to get a $60-100 BRD drive for my PC while I wait until I can afford a PS3/when GT5 comes out? Would it be better to wait and keep that money for a PS3?

The biggest factor in deciding for me will be the speed of the player. I have used a Sharp brand stand alone Blu Ray player before and it was very slow. It took forever to begin watching the movie, and even to read the disc to get to the menu. Will a PS3 or a PC drive be faster? Are all Blu Ray drives slow? If one version would be faster I would definitely lean more towards that.

Alright, i recently ordered the Microsoft Sidewinder X6 Gaming Keyboard, and now i really wish i hadn't.

The CD that came with the keyboard wont work on my pc, i get an error message saying "the programm was blocked due to compatability issues", so i decided to download the latest drivers instead.

I have tried downloading Microsoft Intelitype 6.3, 7.0 and 7.1 Beta and each installation gives me the same error message:

"setup could not install a required component: Miicrosoft Error Reporting. restart and try again (Error Code:1603)"

The keyboard works, so does the numpad, and the backlight knob also works, but the volume knob, media keys, calc button and macro keys don't.

Does anybody know what i can do to get this keyboard to function properly? As far as im aware all i need to do is to be able to install Intelitype, but nothing is working for me.

OS: Windows 7 64-Bit (Build:7600)

Or even seen videos of this in the works I did a bit of checking around but only found normal flat wire. I want to buy some to put underneath my keyboard I want to mod but I'd rather not potentially waste 30+ $$ on something that might become another piece of junk that gathers dust in my closet...

Well, here we go again, pretty sure I started a thread like this before, but I just took a key off of my Saitek Eclipse, and realized how dirty it is under there. I really must be a slob, that is NASTY:sicksmile. Not to mention that the finish has been wearing off of the keys, so you can barely see what the letters are. I don't look when I type, but it still looks like crap.

Any suggestions on a good keyboard for around $50ish? I was thinking maybe this, since everyone seems to be so enthusiastic about mechanical keyboards. What exactly does "blemished" mean, though?

A second wireless router as a repeater

so i'm working on a vaio laptop and try to rip a homemade data dvd and put it onto a spare hard drive i found. I pop open the tray insert disc and hear the gears start spinning as i wait expectantly. then the noise stops. the dvd has not been read.
i rummage around and find an external dvd drive and decide to give that a shot. same problem: i hear it start up and right as i get excited that it'll work it makes a soft beeping noise and the rpms drop drastically.

since this has happened on two separate dvd drives i should assume something is going on with the computer, right?

thanks in advance :D

UPDATE: tried the internal DVD drive again and it now notices that there is a disc there...but thinks all discs are blank (CDs as well...and i've checked to make sure, they do in fact have data on them). I guess i'll run the slew of virus/spyware stuff (avg, spybot, adaware) for now...seems like it isn't a hardware related issue...
