I used to be a console gamer until couple of years ago, when I decided that I wasn't interested anymore... I used to have three XBOXs, two XBOX360s, and I used to host HALO parties and other games as well.

I've always been into racing games, and I just picked up the copy of Forza3... I bought a PS3 just for GT, but decided that PS3's online play just isn't fun...

Anyway, my XBOX360 has been collecting dust in my entertainment center, and I dusted it off, cleaned it, and started to play...

I have to say... No matter how much I feel like PC games are just as good, the overall gaming experience just isn't up to par with XBOX360s...

I am having a great time playing, and although I am not very good yet, I am still having a blast...

I haven't even turned on my PC for the last few days, and I have been just using my MacBook Pro as my main PC. Although graphics aren't just up to par with my main rig, the simplicity and ease of use is just fantastic. Streaming 1080p into my LCD monitor, I am SO into the actual gameplay that I don't even notice the slight jagged edges that inevitably exists without AA and AF.

Kinda sad that I have dumped almost 6Gs into my PCs (I have multiple PCs BTW with 2x i7 rigs, 3x E8400 rigs, all ready for battle) in the last year or so, and I am resorting back to my old XBOX360 with loud ass DVD drive...

Still quieter than the Panaflos I am using with my main rig though...:)

If anyone is feeling me on this... Please post your rejoice with your consoles...

My XBOX360 has just turned all my PCs into REALLY fast internet appliances...

Well turns out i have a strict nat witch i think xbox tells me its open but mw2 says its not. Anyways it has never really stopped me from playing games befor. I play cod4 and halo3 and other games online with out issue. But mw2 wont let me find a game with it. It says searching for match and it never stops searching because of my nat. The only way for me to join a game is to fallow a friend in theirs. This is a problem and i was woundering if you know if they will ever change this or something?

My isp blocks p2p thats why its strict. I'm going to call tomarrow and try to get them to open up the ports for xbox but i doubt that will happen. So any other ideas would be great.

I grabbed a 120GB HDD for it on ebay for cheap. Have a video link of it in my sig. Have had no problem at all with it. Have done some light modding on it, and boy do these things run cool. Had my house air conditioned in the summer and the Exhaust air was about the same as room temperature. Anyone have a Jasper? If so whens your Manufacture Date, and did yours come with the Mini Power Supply? Mine came with the standard size 150W psu. Apparently new Jaspers now, like the Modern Warfare 2 360's have a mini psu, and its about half the size and weighs nothing. I bought one for a cousin for a early Christmas Gift.

I have a feeling that playthrough 2 for me is going to get pretty tough and multiplayer will probably become the only way to go. I did less than 1/2 of the first playthrough with friends.

currently i'm level 40, with soldier, and am like 10 or so quests deep into playthrough 2. I use a mic and I do share stuff and will help players out and basically expect the same out of others playing with me. I'm not an RPG pro and this is basically the first RPG I've played for more than a couple hours.

Hi guys, I have been contemplating on buying a pair of headphones with an integrated mic for my Xbox 360, as I do have a roommate and he does constantly get bothered with the game sounds, even if the volume on my tv is extremely low. I end up having to either shut my mouth while playing and not utilizing the mic or muting my tv which kinda ruins my fun in playing the game. (Call of Duty 4 & MW2). I have been looking at getting a pair of headphones since the Turtle Beaches were just coming out with their X3 model. I have been checking on some reviews, and a lot of them seem to be opinionated towards the company name.

My situation:
LCD TV, wall mounted about 4.5 feet off the ground, and about 10-11 feet from where i usually sit.

Because of this, imo i think that wired headphones wouldn't be the best idea due to mobility problems I'd probably encounter. The Tritton's are not wireless, they do come with a HEFTY amount of wires and adapters. On the other hand Turtle Beaches are wireless, but based on reviews I have watched & read, the quality is worse, not by much, but to make the amount you must pay a little too much for what you actually get. I am not a real heavy gamer, but I do get into the game when playing, and wouldn't mind spending $150 - $200 for a pair of headphones. The main reason still rests upon peace and quiet remaining in the room while I game. My Xbox is connected to the internet to use XBL via Wifi, and the Turtle Beaches use Radio Waves which MAY interfere with the WIFI, which I really do not want to happen, so anybody with X31 or X41's please let me know if the wireless function on the headphones interfere and mess up your Wifi connection.

here are the websites, please check it out.
Tritton:
http://www.trittontechnologies.com/p.../#Gaming_Audio
Turtle Beach X31:
http://www.turtlebeach.com/products/efx3/home.aspx
Turtle Beach X41:
http://www.turtlebeach.com/products/efx4/home.aspx

All and any help is highly appreciated. As a nack I picked up from my brother, I do like to do a bit of research/window shopping before dishing out $150 - $200, as I think anyone would. I am looking to stay away from the top of the line models as I find them too complicated for my needs lol. If you have any of these headphones please let me know, I personally trust OCN way more than YouTube :p

+rep for help

I need some help on figuring out what I should do next.

Just got a new elite not to long ago b/c my old box was a 20gig box and well, E74 error, I voided the warranty and yada yada yada.. . So where I'm at now is I used a HD transfer kit to bring over all my old stuff from the old HD.

So I hooked it up and the gismo from microsoft seemed kinda sketchy. Didn't seem like it was making a good connection all the time but I kind wedge the thing in an area so the connector stayed in the same position for the whole DL.

- So after I got everything DL’d. I can’t remember the wording but it said at the end that some files were corrupt and couldn’t be Dl’d. I heard this was a problem with another person that used this same cable that I borrowed from a friend.
- I went to sign in for Xbox live and my profile isn’t there? Odd.. .
- I turn the box off for a 2nd time, and the profile thankfully pops up. Strange.
- I try to sign in and it wont let me at the main screen.
- I start my game and try to sign in through the menus that pop up there. I’m in!! thank god.
- I’ve signed in a couple times in the main screen before you enter a game but it wont work every time.
- I just hope the problem doesn’t get worse or effect other functions (I haven’t fooled around in too many menus to be able to tell)

Not sure if there is anything I can do. The only game I’ve really been playing since the DL is Borderlands and I wont be too pissed if I have to delete that. Not sure my OLD HD has everything on it still. Would really suck if I lost all my stuff.. .

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hello, thanks for taking the time to visit my thread.

There is 4 computers soon 5 and 3 xboxs all connected to our orange live box and my dad likes to download a little using limewire or Vuze, But when either of these programs is turned on if someone is on the xbox 360 the connection will become 1 bar making all 3 lag out. We thought it could have been because there were so many computers/xboxs connected but we tried this with only a few turned on and still had the same problem.

If there is anything else you would like to know just ask and i will try my best to find out for you.

If anyone knows why this could be happening and how to fix that would be great and i would really appreciate it.

Thanks Benn

Anyways, back to the topic.

Ive seen some videos around of people taking the Xbox apart,
is it easy to break stuff if not done properly?

I would really like to stick some fans in my 360 in hopes of better cooling.

Hi guys,
I lived in China for the past two years and bought a xbox 360 there which was able to play "fake" games. but it was still able to play my old real games that I bought from germany. But now since I'm back in europe I of course bought call of duty modern warfare 2 and halo odst. Both are from the same shop. Halo worked just fine but call of duty when I put it in the drive my xbox says 'this disc's region code in incorrect for this console.' Is there any way to fix this problem or do I have to buy a new xbox? please help.
thanks

Okay, so I am thinking about giving and and buying an Xbox 360 since being a PC gamer is pretty lonely. Obviously I have plenty of online buddys, but all my real life friends play Xbox and I feel like it might be time to suck it up and buy an Xbox to play some games with them.

Okay, so I am thinking about giving and and buying an Xbox 360 since being a PC gamer is pretty lonely. Obviously I have plenty of online buddys, but all my real life friends play Xbox and I feel like it might be time to suck it up and buy an Xbox to play some games with them.

The only thing turning me away is that I prefer using headphones when I play games. This makes it complicated, because if I were to go on Xbox Live I obviously could not (comfortably) have two things (headphones and the Xbox headset) on my head at once. Now, I believe the microphone jack on the bottom of the Xbox 360 controller is a 2.5mm, correct? I'm wondering, would an adapter such as this work, allowing me to use my Zalman clip-on mic as I do when I game on my PC? Obviously I would not use the speaker part of that adapter, just set the Xbox to do voice through "speakers", or in my case, my headphones.

If somebody already does this and can confirm it works, or could order the adapter and try it to confirm it works before I drop a few hundred dollars on a console, I would be grateful:)
