They have added many more elements to the game to make everyones playing style different. When you are wanted they put up posters and you can rip them down to help your case, you can change the color of your clothes, you can have villas to make money. The fighting is very fluid as well. Everything works perfectly but I have my mediaserver (pc running windows xp) entering standby mode so to save energy. The problem is I can wake up my ps3 remotely from the psp which works perfect but I have no way of waking up the mediaserver. Currently my mediaserver does have wol setup but I have no way of getting it to wake up with either the ps3 or the psp.


I tried PSPwol v2.1 by EvilDooinz and followed the directions but I cant get it to work. I typed ipconfig /all on my pc and was able to get the mac address and ip of my network card and put that in the E:\psp\game\address.lst file but it doesnt show up in the list of pspwol when I start the eboot.

The only thing I can think of is maybe that v2.1 of pspwol doesnt work with cfw 5.00 m33. Or maybe the address.lst is in the wrong directory.

I know WOL is working because if I leave my ps3 on it will wake up the mediaserver if I select the folders in mediaservers in the XMB. The problem is as soon I power down the ps3 then the folders are no longer there and I have no way of waking the mediaserver since the ps3 cant find them if the pc is in standby.

The only other solution I have is to setup wol through the internet but Id rather not have to leave a port open creating a security hole.

Any other suggestions to get the magic packets to run from my psp or ps3 would be helpful.

The achievement is actuarly really really good like the original with all the challanges only you get... There is LOADS of differnt game modes and iw seem to have managed to make interesting by only allowing complete noobs to access the first 3 game types by default this means as you play multiplayer more and more you get to play new people and new game types so its never the same thing over and over. Guns are not in short supply and you can now customise them even better than before, and if your finding a particular match very hard your death perk is extreamly handy.

Overall the lack of dedicated servers for pc users hasnt made the console version of the game any worse and its heads above the first game on the consoles. If you are considering canceling your ps3 pre-order i would urge you to at least give it a go as its one of the smoothest playing multiplayers on ps3 i have come across
