For this mod you need a sharp #2 pencil, a 7600gt, and the wish to OC like hell

(Optional, For a better overclock you should apply a thin layer of AS5 to your gpu)

dont worry if you mess up because you can erase the mod with a pencil *YAY*


Ok, first turn over your 7600gt and get your pencil and shade in the resistor labeled VGPU 10K

Next, shade the resistor labeled VMEM 10K

Now, put your 7600GT back in your rig and start Overclocking

I reccomend Using coolbits

With this mod I was able to get a stable OC of 686 / 853 as you can see in my screenshot below

Good FAQ :). You may want to add that people should have some aftermarket cooler because it will get much hotter

you dont need an aftermarket cooler

it would help but i achieved my overclock with stock cooling

im getting the thermaltake tidewater soon so lets see what difference it makes

Nice little FAQ. I'm currently running my 7600 GT at 610/1600 but I think I'll give this mod a go myself to try to reach 650/1700.

My EVGA runs at 600/780 stock, but I bet this thing will fly with a volt mod. Is there any way to check in a program or bios to see if your voltage actaully increased?

I used to Optimal Clock 800/610.. Now its 733/572..... :S

Isn't there a possibilty that it gets TOO MUCH volts and fries it? Or is that not a possibility?
