Default Info: Cheap Watercooling

Note: DO NOT BUY A BIG WATER! You can get much better temps for close to the same price!

I'm tired of posting my answer to the question: "can I make a water cooling system for $150?" Yep...shipping will push it over that, but I think you need to understand that the extra money is well worth it. You can shave off a few bucks by making your own fill port with fittings from your local hardware store, but it will be uglier then home-made sin dipped in misery. I also didn't include a pump switch, but if you can afford a pump switch you should just get a Danger Den D5.

RAD: 77 Bonneville heatercore $20-25

Fans: $10-30

Fan shroud: $2 Tupperware

From jab-tech.com:

Tubing: MasterKleer 10ft $4.90

Fill port: Danger Den Fillport $11.95

CPU: Swiftech Apogee $45

Pump: Hydor L35 45.99

Water: $1

Water add: $3

T fitting: $2

~$145-165

Cheap Bastards Rule #1: Look for used parts on ebay and other forums. THIS WILL SAVE YOU ALOT OF MONEY. I got my Eheim 1250 new off of ebay for $28.

Cheap Bastards Rule #2: Don't rush it. Put the system together as you find the parts on sale. You might want to get it built, but your computer won't catch on fire without it.

Cheap Bastards Rule #3: When you can get a better part for $10 more make the jump. Don't be so cheap that you pass up opportunity. If you don't have the money, wait till you get it.

To be honest you can go cheaper....you could probably spend less on the block.
Not a bad FAQ though :)
