Hello again!
I thought I'd make a short faq on making an 80w peltier drink cooler from old junk and a peltier that was used in my first failed attempts at home made tec cooling. The great thing when I made this one was it didn't start to warm up and it actually works over time. I used the metal case from the psu that just died on my new setup (don't buy a cooler master extreme power 600w psu, it's junk) A pentuim4 478 1U server heatstink and fan A drill and drillbit, as well as two 3/16 inch screws and nuts Arctic silver and arctic ceramique (you can probably use either one I used both :D) And the 80w pelt of course! You can get one for around $5 Drain the psu if you use a psu case by unplugging a pc it's in and push the power button, then gut it out ![]() Find the hot side of the peltier by briefly supplying current to it and touching it to detect the hot side. Stick the hot side to the heatsink you are using with arctic silver, then put a dab of arctic ceramique on the cold side. ![]() Next drill the holes for the screws/bolts to go through ![]() Lastly, assemble the two together with all the wires run neatly into a molex connector ![]() Success! In my situation I have a push-button psu running two 80mm fans to keep my monitor from going yellow-screen, so I had a psu nearby regardless ![]()

It works quite well! :D the last one I made warmed up, the heatsink needs decent airflow

A peltier is a thermoelectric module that moves heat away from its cold plate, one side gets hot one gets cold
