Have you ever had a game controller with broken analog sticks (i.e. your cat/little brother knocked it off the table, and now the sticks turn freely without providing any input)? I almost threw a couple of controllers away, but I found a way to fix them.
What you need: dremel w/cutting wheel 2 plastic (NOT GLASS/METAL) marbles super-glue (optional) screwdriver First, take apart the controller by unsrewing the screws on the back, then take out the broken plastic pieces that used to be thumb handles for the analog sticks. Then put the controller back together. Now you should have two small metal prongs sticking out, one where each handle went. Now take your dremel, and make a 1 -1.5 mm slit in the plastic marble with the dremel, and insert the marble firmly onto the metal prong. If done right glue is not necessary, but can be used to increase durability. Note: I did this with a generic USB controller, I haven't tried it on an xbox or playstation controller. Please let me know if anyone tries this on a console controller.
