Well I know that 90% of people who play CS:S havent messed with their config at all either because they dont feel like it or because they dont know how. I decided to make a autoexec that will allow everyone to play the game better.

This is not a config.cfg file it is an autoexec.cfg file. This means that you dont have to edit your config at all and it will over-ride your current cvar settings so all you need to do is put this file there and you're done.

What will this autoexec do?

- Boost FPS while maintaining superb image quality.
- Allow your shots to register(hit the target) much better.
- Show more blood (you can see your hits better at distance etc).
- Turn off many annoying aspects of the game (You wont automatically switch to guns you pick up, you wont see the "you killed an enemy" box and other help items pop up, you wont download sounds from servers, your brightness will go up and your screenshot quality will be better.)
- Your crosshair will be brighter and wont flex open/closed as much.

Things to know:

You need to open the file, scoll down until you see:

Read that chunk and you'll see what needs to be done for amd users.

I suggest you open the file and look and some of the cvars to see if there's anything you'd like to change.

How do I install this?

Browse to:

C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\STEAM USER NAME\counter-strike source\cstrike\cfg

Drop the autoexec.cfg file into this directory (overwrite the one that exists, if one exists).
