Default How To: Relax GFX Mem Timings and Gain!

Using NiBiTor, it is possible and quite easy to relax the timings of the GDDR3 on any of your 7-series video cards for improved frequency and lowered latency. As shown in this thread, a timing relaxation leads to a 200mhz increase in frequency and adds 200+ points to your 3DMark scores. This will take some prior knowledge of flashing a video BIOS, but if you do not know how to do so, I would not reccommend you attempt this mod as you will be more prone to screwing up.

To do so, you must first remove the HS from your card and take not of the model #'s on the memory IC's. Now google your exact brand + model # and find a data sheet for your particular DDR3 modules. In the data sheet will be a table consisting of timings for several set frequencies. You can adjust the timings of YOUR memory by opening NiBitor, opening your original BIOS.rom, then going to
"Timings" > "Autoselect Timingset" > "Detailed Timings" and entering the specified timings by your manufacturer for a given frequency.

Unfortunately, on some cards, the memory may already be at it's specified timing, however, you can relax the timings by a few ticks in some cases and open up a few hundred extra Mhz. This is the case of my particular XFX 7800GT XTreme Edition. Here's a few screenie's of the process:
