Id rather open up my computer every now and then clean my heatsink with a tissue. Putting filter on make my 30cfm fan goes to 20cfm, or at least it makes me feel horrible.

no, i got 7 fans that are like 27CFm each and the filters reduce them to like 24CFM, only a little.

If you are desperate, then do what FoRmEd says, and use Coffee filters!!! I'm yet to try them out, but my two exhaust fans at the bottom of my case won't let my temps for CPU or even my graphics card to rise above 47C. Plus they are not attatched to the motherboard, so they are constantly running off of 12V. Nothing wrong here :D
