Crimson that lapping job doesn't look good. There are still alot of grooves in it.

im pissed..... i just lapped and dont see no difference... maybe AS5 isnt kicking in yet but i expected an instant change..... or maybe AS5 wasnt applied properly? im gettin the same temps as b4

is both the hsf and ihs lapped?


what grit did you lap to?


AS5 will cure over a few days and temps should improve



i personally prefer ceramique over AS5

ummmmmm, the scythe ninja. i lapped it yesterdai and it was a *****, this thing is huge. i got most part of it shiny but the sides were still dull but the cpu doesn't touch with that part so i left it. i think i may need a flatter surface to work on....

still waiting on my temps to lower bcuz after i put the heatsink back on.... the temps were higher

you may have made it less flat - lapping must always be done on an extremely flat surface such as a sheet of glass

yeap, i had it on a sheet of glass. my used the lapping kit i ordered from easypckits.com works great.
