Um.....no....150dBa is the level at which you fracture your eardrum and you become deaf...it's not "silent". It all depends on the frequency of the sound. Humans can hear a sound from 20 to 20000Hz

Sorry to ruin everybody's fun. At 300dBa the computer would probably be ripped apart just to the superpowerful shockwave. That would be cool to see, though!

Errrr, that would be correct if the human mind worked the same way but it doesnt - the human mind converts 20 decibels to be twice as loud as 10 decibells and 50 db to be twice as loud as 25 decibells although the sound pressure is like 9 times more between them - so sorry this FAQ unless ur a science nerd is totally pointless.
__________________How u hear the thing is different to the actual pressure of the sound. What you were saying only relates to the pressure.

Are you sure 40 decibals is only a refridgerator? On newegg the vantec tornado has a post that they can hear the fan in a room with a door closed from downstairs :lachen:.
