Every now-and-then set your cl_crosshairscale to something about 400 higher.
At the moment, mines at 2400. Thats about 2mm on the screen, helps with just automatically pointing to the enemys head.

I found using left handed models a big help too. I mean normally that side of the screen is covered in chat anyway, so you basically gain a 1/4 of the screen by doing this.

Again this is all personal preference.

Best tip is, don't try and be the hero. Don't be at the front of a rush, try and stay middle to back.

And teamwork. Cover eachothers backs, always look around you, get to know the maps inside out so you know where to go if someone needs backup. CS is about teamwork, not frags.

Aiming at other people at low sens is no biggie for me at 2.1 sens. If I see one in the right angle of my screen, I shoot at him (depending on what the other guy is doing), and when he's dead I'm always instantly on his head.
