Many people have been posting many types of layouts for their computer parts lists. They also add the links, but the link usually will display a long URL. This is a guide which may help clean up the clutter in these types of lists.


1.

First, gather your part numbers, prices, and links. I highly recommend these five sites for links:

Try not to post the exact model numbers, just post the brand, the basic model number, and amount of memory (if necessary): I.E. BFG 6800 Ultra OC

Second, comes the format. List every item in the same format, and try to limit each item to one line. I suggest to use the following as a fill-in-the-blanks, not including '(' & ')' (CPU used as example):

CPU - (cpu model here) (<URL=(URL here)>price</URL>, replace '<' & '>' with '[' & ']')

You can also use that linmk format by using the insert hyperlink button when you post. It will take you through a simple step-by-step process.

Now to preview the post. Where you would click submit, click preview post instead. Check for errors. Here is an example of one part in the list:
CPU - AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Venice $272 USD

Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each item. Then add the total at the bottom
