30B.MAKING FIREFOX FASTER: Well now we will Tweak Firefox to make it just that bit faster. Now to start open up Mozilla Firefox and in the address bar type ''about:config''. This will then bring you a list of a dozen different configurations, I will now go through the ones you can configure to make Firefox faster.

1. Find '' network.http.pipelining'' in the list. When you have found it set the value of it to ''True''.
2. Find '' network.http.proxy.pipelining'' in the list. When you have found it set the value of it to ''True''.
3. Find '' network.http.pipelining.maxrequests'' in the list. When you have found it set the value of it to 20.
4. Find '' browser.turbo.enabled'' in the list. When you have found it set the value of it to ''True''.
5. Find '' network.dns.disableIPv6'' in the list. When you have found it set the value of it to ''True''.
6. Now right click anywhere within the Firefox window and select ''New Integer'' and call it ''nglayout.initialpaint.delay'' Then set its value to 0.
7. Now right click anywhere within the Firefox window and select ''New Integer'' and call it ''browser.cache.memory.capacity'' and set a value that suits you for a cache size for this browser, I do reccomend setting a lower amount than 50mb as this will increase computer performance.E.g 16mb ( 16000).

Thanks for the sweet guide! I did all of this and my machine has never run smoother or faster... Thanks...

I did have one problem on the step above... I could not find '' browser.turbo.enabled'' to edit in Firefox... any idea?

Thanks mate. As for your issue in Firefox it is normal not everyone has that configuration line..Its due to the different versions perhaps.

Yeah I didnt have it either in the beta 64bit version, but you could just get the faster fox extension instead. I think it will achieve the same thing.

Also in regard to the guide....it is a very good guide and most if not all of the steps have been done on my computer and i have not had any ill effects or performance drops and have infact had a performance increase mostly because my computer now starts up alot faster than it did.
