This will show how to make a simple animated avatar using Ulead GIF animator 5.
Once you get comfortable with the program you're using then more advanced avatars can be made.

OK lets get started!!!

Step #1
Open up Ulead GIF animator and select Animation wizard


Step #2

Choose the size of your animation for the forum, its 100x100 or 39.1 kb whichever is smaller (a presized image works best)


Step #3
Click add image and browse to your image location


Step #4
Once you have your image, you'll have a pic in the center and 1 frame at the bottom...Right click on Frame #1 and select add banner text.


Step #5
Once you select add banner text, you can add your text, effects and animation speed\loop from the tabs in the window. Then click OK and in the menu that pops up click Create as banner text.




Step #6
Once you have clicked, create as banner text, it will automatically fill in the rest of the frames for you and you should have this screen


Step #7
^^click the play button to view your animation and once it is how you would like it to look save it as a GIF file to a location of your choosing



Thats it. The only thing left to do it upload it as your own custom avatar!!

NOTE:Process and effect will vary from program to program. I used Ulead GIF animator 5 and can be found here, its a free fully working 30 day trial!!!

Nah, I think it looks right when you want to make one following your instructions without clicking on a new thumbnail each time.

I made 2 but there too big to use...

how can I make is smaller then 4000bytes:(

To make it smaller you will have to resize each frame indivually and then rebuild the animated GIF
