I know the 3.3v is the orange wire but how do I measure it without the pc being on? Also I don't know how to measure those other voltages. I'll do some research

You can use the voltmeter probes to carefully check from the back of the 24-pin main MB connector while it is booting, operating etc...

Ok i figured out that, but the vcore and chipset voltage etc? how do I check that?

Right, well that will be different for each MB and a matter of finding the locations where these are able to be tested at on the top of the MB.... it will need some research for these.

Great Faq, but I sadly discovered that my 12v rail won't even reach 12v... It'll stay at 11.95v idle and 11.80v on Prime95 load.

1. 5% is acceptable, a 3% varable is best for OCers.
2. The SATA cable has 3.3, 5 and 12v lines. See page 34 for pinouts location. Personally, I prefer to extend the cable out the case in way that it is closed up as well as possible and run a full load program to heat the system up well. Heat can and will effect the PS stability.
