Third degree burns do hurt. Thats some bs right there. You also start to blled quite a bit.
Also ColdHeat is horrible. Does not cooldown.

This guy's true. Ever think that you can't really have a perfectly centralized burn? What's around 3rd degree burns? That's right...2nd degree burns...

They hurt.

One thing I use when I get a burn like that is either Aloe vera Gel or Cocoa Butter--I have more than my share of burns from working on the motorcycles (got one right on my forehead from the header one night...) and you should know that it is not necessary to make contact with the hot item to receive a burn--something really hot like a microtorch can burn you from a fair distance away (like when you are heating heatsrhink on cables) so always be aware of where the heat is going.

Never had much luck with ice or water for treating a burn--but Aloe or Cocoa butter have minimised the blistering and damage quite well.

When you get a very large second degree burn, (Over 15% or more of the body) the best solution is to cool it with water for about 5 minutes then wrap the burnt area in cling film to keep it sterile and help it retain some of the fluids from the blistering. Then of course take the casualty to A&E.

Then same would apply for a very deep 3rd degree burn over a smaller area. With burns, keeping the injury clean and cool is your main priority. Don't apply dressings to burns, as they can get stuck onto the injury and cause complications. Clingfilm, on a cooled burn, will not fuse with the skin, where as a dressing will.

I burnt my thumb yesterday on a soldering iron, was'nt to bad but i got a little blister and the skin feels a little tight lol.

I waved it about in the air for about 10 seconds while swearing under my breath then opened the freezer door and put thumb on the ice for a few seconds at a time until the burning sensation went (about 5 minutes), about half an hour later i did'nt notice it and it felt fine:)
