Hi all... i have a problem after flashing the x850 xtpe bin to my card.. i had everyting going well.. pipes are open and flashed to the x850 xtpe bin. but after 10-15 minutes playing some 3D games it freezed up.. plz help. i have a ati x850 pro vivo 256 agp card..

Are you on the latest Catalyst drivers(I use Omega6.7 www.omegadrivers.net )? Try downclocking to regular 500/500 clock speeds of Pro. If your games don't freeze up then I suggest getting a better fan/heatsink like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835118001 before switching back to XT clock speeds. Overheating from faster clock speeds can cause your card to freeze up.

I ordered my x850pro on saturday, and it will be coming in on wednesday. i was reading the reviews on newegg and i was looking into unlocking some pipes on it. would i need to buy aftermarket cooling for it? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102606
the stock cooling looks pretty good to me, so i don't know. |
