Well this happened to me once, and I spent some time trying to solve the problem. It turns out that this is a JavaScript problem. This happened to me after I ran CCleaner (a useful tool to clear some HD space and delete unnecessary shortcuts and other rubbish from your computer).
__________________Anyways, I've tried restarting, re-installing FireFox, etc. Finally, I came to clearing everything on my FireFox (addresses, saved form, password, etc.) Shazam! It worked! To do this, go to: Tools => Options => Privacy => Click on "Clear All" => Clear All Information Hopefully this will work for you, too! :D UPDATE For the new versions of Firefox, Ctrl + Shift + Del would do just as well to clear everything. FYI, I believe this bug doesn't exist anymore. :P

This is out dated. For the newest version of Firefox 1.5.0.2 You can just go Tools->Clear Private Data->tick the boxes and click 'clear data now'
