Default How to: Get Arctic Silver 5 out of my carpet

Ok well if some of you are like me you ignore esd risks and build ur pc on the carpet. Another unsaid issue with this is the fact that you may get arctic silver on the carpet. Now if you have white carpets this will leave an ugly silver stain in your carpet. Water will not work to get it out to easly but i did do some tests on a corner in my closet. And this is what worked best in order.

1. Folex carpet cleaner
2. Arm & Hammer carpet cleaner
3. Simple Green
4. Straight rubbing alcohol
5.Windex
6. Water

The folex carpet cleaner worked the best because i was able to get the as5 out of the carpet without scrubbing to hard. With windex and water you can easly tell that somthing was there but with alcohol and above you will have a much harder time determining if it was there or not.

i had it on my bed apparently setting fire to the carpet will destroy the stain... any unfortunatly the carpet, try cover it up with somthing like, if its in the middle of the room or a hall, stick a broken t.v and when people come in you answer is

"it... is...art...."

simple....

if they laugh they laugh... if they don't worry Hope it helps :)

Easy, don't spill AS5 on your carpet.

Good guide though, just don't see why you'd be working on carpet anyways. :p
