It's funny how people who buy sooo much stuff on eBay don't utilize the selling aspect of it, or they say "I don't sell anythng becasue I do not know how to use it". Well, it's really not that hard and soon you'll be selling stuff like a champ.

Obviously in order to sell you need an eBay account, which I assume most people have. So, all you do is follow the prompts in order to sell something...Bam you're done. WRONG!!! Yes of course you'll get it up there, and eBay lays everything out very nicely so the average grandma can sell something, but in order to do it effectively (and by effectively I mean lots of traffic and a pleasing item).

So, here's what you do:

Create a webpage for your item, it only has to be one page, and if you know anything about website design this will get you a few extra bucks since it's about Professionalism. If people see just text, then they know it was done in haste and sometimes can be a little leary.

Everything is labeled, color coded for the important stuff and that is what they see as the description rather than a bunch of text stating what you get, with nice clear pictures...it will make a world of difference in how people bid. Some might say it really doesn't matter but for the last 5 thing's I've sold I have alwasy gotten more then what I wanted becasue I wanted my page to look professionsal

Now that you have an idea for how you want to sell your Item you want to place a Title so it can be searched. The Title is the MOST IMPORTANT PART OF SELLING. "3GHz" is not the same as "3 GHz" they will come up as 2 totally different searches. So do some searching of your item before you place it becasue after 1 person bids you cannot change it, the only way to change it is by Removing the item and Listing it again, and who wants to pay more fees.

Look around in the search of your item and sometimes it isnt bad to take someone's title and modify it a little bit, you know your item will come up and so will his and a bunch of others.

*Put other things that aren't in there but might be a competetor, like "AMD 3700+ 2.2GHz NOT Pentium 4" Adding the "Pentium 4" will pull up Pentium 4 2.2GHz searches as well. Yes, eBay's search criteria sucks but that's the way it goes and you have to know how to play the game in order to sell effectively

This is all great, but how do you put that thig on the botton that shows other items your selling?

That's your Cross Reference selling, it's under the options at the top of the page and you set which other items you want to show up but only after someone bids.

I think a Power seller or someone with a store can use it, I've never had more than 1 thing going until just recently but a person can easily see what else you are selling by clicking the link in the User Information thats typically at the top left

It is also very important to have high quality and professional pictures. Another thing that EVERY listing should have is a gallery picture, it is cheap, and makes your item way more attractive. Also showing the shipping prices in the auction, or having a shipping calculator ensures the buyer that he/she will only have to pay that ammount, and doesn't keep them guessing what they will pay for it.
