You can't post up the images again? The attachments arnt working (due to the server). If you do it in a secondary sourcee (i.e imageshack etc) that would be great :)

Science says it will work, as more surface area means more heat dissipation. The only question is, are you willing to reduce the resale value of your cooler should you choose to do this mod? The adhesive thermal grease is extremely difficult to remove, so this is a one-and-done operation. The idea is brilliantly simple, yet effective! The only thing is that this should not be labeled as being for the big typhoon only, but for every cooler that has room for RAM heatsinks.
I'll be doing this to my Tuniq Tower 120 when I get my new motherboard and conroe processor.

same with the conroe, but couldn't you cover the whole heatpipes with with RAMsinks, front and back, top to bottom?

I stuck on a small heat sink on my Gigabyte G Cooler pro in the same spot you did and also screwed in a little 1 inch fan on top of the fins. Thus sucking the hot air out of the heatsink fins. You all should give it a go.Took me ten minutes. And ten degree drop.Seriously!.
