Paypal is a great tool for all people who want to buy and sell online. It is an easy way to securely transfer money over the internet. It is a company owned by eBay and is often used by people who buy and sell on eBay.com. It is also a great way to transfer money with people over the internet when participating in private transactions, such as when buying and selling on the For Sale/Wanted forum on this site.

Here's how to sign up!

1. Go to paypal.com and click on the sign up button.

2. Click the button for personal account. This is the most basic and easiest type to start with. You can always upgrade later. Also enter your country.

3. Enter all your info, agree to the terms, and click continue.

4. You usually have to confirm your account by receiving an email and clicking on the verification link.

5. Once thats all settled and you log in, you'll be taken to your homepage, which looks something like the image below. You can click add credit card or add bank account. If you sign up with a bank account you can withdraw funds when you need to which will be added to your balance. If you sign up with a credit card, any transfers you make will automatically be taken out. A good thing pointed out by Fishie36 is that it might be better to use a bank account as it does not cost any fees when other people receive your cash transfers. Another suggestion by the Duke was that you can get a "Debit Card which looks like a credit card but draws against the monies in that account. The Debit Card surfices if you don't have a true credit card."

6. That's basically it! Once you're signed up youll be ready to start buying and selling over the internet with ease!

You can also get a Debit Card which looks like a credit card but draws against the monies in that account. The Debit Card surfices if you don't have a true credit card.
Best not to keep a ton of cash in that account though!

You might want to add that you can only receive free payments from people with bank accounts. That means that you should add a bank account to your account so that you can send others payments and have it be free for them too.
