This is a nifty little trick I found out about from when I couldn't get my Lunar 2 PSX game working.
__________________I was asking around my local Game Stops on where I could get my CDs refinished / remachined, and when I heard the cost (15.00+) per CD, I freaked out pretty quickly Sure, I could spend 5.99 on Game Stop cleaner, but WHY? Hopefully, you'll have everything you need in your house. Let's begin. Materials: 1) Cotton Shammy / Undershirt 2) Toothpaste* 3) Time Alright. Now we take our CD, look at it. Stare at it. See how your face is all cracked and ugly? That's because of the scratches. Let's fix it to make sure we look as pretty as possible. Some things even beauty rest cannot help us with. *Please, make SURE you DO NOT use Whitening Toothpaste. There is grit in the toothpaste that will ONLY scratch your CDs further. Take the shammy and wrap it in your hand. Pull it tightly, and then dab some toothpaste on it. Now, slowly work in circles where the scratches are. Start from the inside out, and take your time. This can take a while. Finish up your cleaning by dabbing a clean section of your cloth in water and slowly spin in circles again, working inside out, and then dry it in the same fashion. If you are questioning this, and think you'd rather drop 30.00 on a Game Doctor instead of risking it, take a look at the Game Stop scratch cleaning solution. Bring along your tube of Crest, and then compare the active ingredients. They're nearly the same. Hope this helps, as always, post feedback with how this guide helped you.
