Another interesting thing to try is a router with QOS. In utorrent I leave my upload uncapped, download at 500KB/s and still play games with 20 ping.

I thought QOS was software in Windows.. not hardware?

It has to be in both to work. Like client and server.

QOS has nothing to do with Bittorrent downloading. I know that Cisco supports QOS but I don't know how Quality Of Service is going to help your Bittorrent connections to people who are not using QOS. I can currently download at 250 KB per second on bittorrent. I have 1200KB per second 1.2MB download for everything else online.

QOS just allows you to leave upload uncapped and still surf the web without lag. It won't make your download faster, that's for sure.

Ah that's nice I'll try it right away.. I'm really sick of BitTorrent (the manager) cuz it's so slow.. I almost never get above 20Kb/s down on any download :(

I totally agree with utorrent. Its by far the best torrent client and it doesn't need much to run it. Also, lots of private trackers are banning (or have done it already) bitcomet because it doesn't report the status properly.
And even in public trackers, users of Azureus (and some other clients) are blocking ALL bitcomet connection.

But nice FAQ for those who still uses bitcomet.

Hi, I seem to be having trouble adjusting the settings you said in the tutorial because Im not getting the speeds everyone else seems to. Where you say we should adjust the "Connections to keep per task", I cant find it in the preferences anywhere. The version I have is 0.71, I dont know if maybe you did this on an earlier version and its now called something else? Or maybe I'm looking in the wrong place. Thanks for the help.
