I have 0.70 and my uploading/folding rig has 0.71, its under the preference<advanced<connections and it should be in there :)

MrBlund change your maximum connections per task to 600.

Its correct but it looks like your BitComet client is a bit outdated, try updating to 0.71 or the latest version in the link from my original post :)

If you got 10kb/s, make sure you go to www.portforward.com and open up your ports for your router in bitcomet. Although, i tested bitcomet and utorrent with the same file(like 300+seeds).

Bitcomet's average speed was 280/kbs
uTorrent's average speed was 305/kbs

uTorrent was faster for me. Not by much, but enough to make me use it for all my torrents

BitComet is not welcome in many torrents sites (most of them private). Also, some people block ALL connections from bitcomet clients (afaik Azureus has that option).
My brother was using bitcomet and the average speed was 10~20Kb/s then I told him to change to utorrent and the speed went to 80~100Kb/s with more seeders.

Yea I noticed that too. Although I use the plain bittorent and get 300kb/s Maybe since it is the original one everyone allows it?

K i did everything in this guide and i still can't get above 20Kbs most are slower... that's the total of three simultaneous ones or 10 or just one. same thing. firewall is open, port is forwarded, and it's still effed. i'm on a 5Mbit Cable connection hardline. shared with three intermittent wireless users.

Try utorrent and check your speed. Just run it @ default values and see how much faster you can go.
Don't forget to turn protocol encryption on (either enabled or forced).

Also, if you run XP SP2 you'll need to tweak your TCPIP.sys to allow more connections. Just take a look here.
