Default How To: Install Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter without getting error 6001?

After buying ghost recon and when I came to install it, I kept on getting error 6001 and nothing I did could sort it. The problem, I found out, was that a corrupt version of InstallShield is installed. To fix it all you need to do is hit start, run and copy and paste this into it: C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\Professional\RunTime\0701 . Then simply delete folder 0701. If that doesnt work you could rename the InstallShield folder to anything, maybe oldinstallshield for ease. Then, run settup again and it should be fine.

SOLUTION:
This InstallShield error indicates a corrupt verison of InstallShield is installed on your computer. To correct this issue, simply delete the following folder from your computer and attempt to run the installer again:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\Professional\RunTime\0701

If this fails to correct the problem, we recommend you RENAME (not delete) the entire C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\ folder and try again. You may rename the folder to anything you like, but we recommend something similar to 'InstallShield-old'.
