Overclock.net Governing Rules
All members are expected to read and abide by the rules of the site. For the convenience of our members, all of the pertinent rules are linked below. Rules that apply to the entire site The Forum Rules and Terms of Service (TOS) govern activity on Overclock.net and all associated resources including the game servers and chat system. Revised FAQ Guidelines
In order to make Overclock.net the best place to find the best information we have decided to revise our FAQ guidelines.
Please use our standard naming convention to help users identify the type of post you have created. How To: These FAQs concern themselves with how to deal with specific problems normally encountered when dealing with either hardware or software issues. They should be accompanied by step-wise instructions and screen-shots or images. How To: Mod your x800/x850 How To: Aim and Shoot in FPS Info: These FAQs simply provide information to users. Info: Free Software - Must Haves Info: What is Javascript Opinion: These FAQs present the posters personal opinion on a subject. Opinion: What Resolution Should I Use? Opinion: Prescott or Northwood? Do not copy/paste material directly from other sites. If you feel that you must directly copy material from another site, use the QUOTE tags and provide a link. Any FAQs that have excessive quoting may be rejected. Quote:
Check spelling and grammar. Search for previously existing FAQs before submitting a new one. If you feel that the previous FAQ is incomplete write a companion document, don't recreate the entire thing. Ask the original author to include a link.
