I think FSB/Ram timings have a lot to do with your output. I get consistent 7:58 min./percent with one instance of WinSMP open. I'm running my quad at 1800FSB with 4-4-4-12 timing. At 900Mhz i'm getting around 7900mb/s transfer rates in SiSoft.

When you tweak your OC's. Try to increase your FSB and decrease your timings for better performance. For me WinSMP + affinity changer > Ubuntu/VMWare etc.

5,5,5,12 i think. i noticed Gollie has a ppd of 3000 but only has a 300mhz better oc than me and his ram is running 200+ slower than mine

NVM i just read his profile and he's running 450fsb and 4,4,4,12 ram timings, I'm only running about 410fsb. Looks like I'm bumping up my oc tomorrow so i dont let the side down

Your times will be faster if you can run 4-4-4-12 or 3-3-3-8 with 800 or 900Mhz.
