I bought an e8400 and an ep45 ds3r this morning, I won't be able to get this rig running for a while, due to no power supply... so if anyone has one just laying around, let me know


Why does everyone do VMWare + Ubuntu?

dude i would love to have a play with a p45, been told they have the best bios options for clocking ever.

o0 baptism of fire i can see in your future young padawan

if you get stuck i will swap you for my p35 its easy and does 500fsb on stock volts to the chipset

tbh m8 you will get lots of help around here so you have little to worry about.



i think i will take my gpu out of the team game and just enter my cpu as of tommorrow as it seems i will be getting more than 2k from it now

I wish there was a way to overclock my brisbane 4200+.. maybe ill give ntune a try, I should be getting wayyyy more ppd than this from that pc.

oh well, in a short while it will be linux anyways and ill also have an e6600 @ 3.0 - 3.4 and shortly after that my e8400 at whatever I can get it to on an xfx 780i

OMG I cant wait to have this network running lol.

Sidenote, still folding with my p4 3.2, my laptop turion 64 tl - 50 (dualcore 1.6) and the brissy 4200+

How many ppd should I gain by going from windows xp to native linux (slackware, terminal mode only) on that box at stock speeds?

why would I need 64bit? the 4200+ only has 1gb of ram. Just because the CPU 'supports' 64 bit doesnt mean its required to...
