Best/safest lube for noisey squeaky mouse wheel.

My DeathAdder 2013 mouse wheel is starting to squeak and instead of going through an unnecessary RMA process I'm going to grease the mouse wheel my self.

What I need to know however is what is a perfectly safe lubricant to use on electrical equipment such as a mouse wheel that isn't going to kill it?

Any suggestions? Thanks in advanced.

NO, take the mouse apart and apply the dab of oil to the axis of the wheel, DO NOT PUT A DROP, IT WILL GET EVERYWHERE.

This is the 3 in 1 oil I'm taking about

and no it won't make the mouse wheel stiff. and WD-40 is kerosene based and it eventually evaporates quickly.

Disassemble.

You want to 'lightly' coat the wheel. By light I mean cover your finger and thumb in oil...and roll the ball between your finger and thumb.

Don't drop it into the mouse frame, you'll possibly get it on the tracking sensor.
