Ok. I've picked the case fans now so I've edited that part out of this post.

All I need now is a good cooler for my Ryzen 1700. Thing is, I'm using an Asus PRIME B350M-E mAtx motherboard, and the ram slots are pretty close to the cpu socket. The wraith Spire cooler I have on there is apparently 103mm wide, and it's pretty close to the ram. The side of the fan casing on it is actually touching the side of the ram. So, I need something that stays narrow enough until it clears the height of the ram. The gpu isn't that far away either. I'd say it's maybe a couple cm below the Wraith Spire fan. The cpu cooler can also be no more than 170mm in height to fit in my case. Anyone know any good coolers that will fit this board? Thanks!

Nevermind. I noticed that Noctua have a motherboard compatability sheet for their coolers so I should be ok now smile.gif

My favorite fans for case, cooler and radiator are Thermalright TY-14x series fans. The TY-147A and TY-147A SQ look good move plenty of air against resistance and are very quiet.

The best and quietest cooler is Le Grand Macho RT .. and it uses a TY-147B fan .. basically same fan as TY-147A.

I picked up three of those NF-P14s Redux fans from Amazon. I wish I could find the TY-147ASQ here in the US but have had no luck to date.

Rumors are that Nan's Gaming Gear will have TY-147A SQ by the end of the month. We can only hope rumor is true.

ive personally not had much success with PWM fans for cases. You can only really set them to ramp up and down with CPU temperature, which (for me at least), causes issues when my GPU is under heavy load and my CPU is hardly doing anything. My GPU gets starved of air because the fans wont ramp up.

I recently bought a fan controller, the aquaero 6, that will allow me to control my fans based on whichever component is hotter so i shouldn't run into this issue anymore. If it doesn't work out (i should have no problems), oh well, i have fun tinkering with my PC anyway haha. Plus i have an awesome tool if i ever wanted to try watercooling at some point... which i have no current desire to do.

Depends on what motherboard and GPU you have. New motherboard often have PWM control on more than CPU socket.

New Enthoo Luxe comes with a PWM controlled variable voltage fan hub for 3-pin fans

Aquaero 6 is king of controllers. Nothing else even comes close .. except aquaero 5 .tongue.gif

I'm not sure if I have the option to use the gpu as a source for fan speeds, but I can make my own fan profiles so maybe I can figure out something nice. I guess I'll deal with that when I get to it! No space for a fan controller in my case though. Slowly starting to regret doing an mAtx build. I guess I had to try it at least once though haha tongue.gif

Arctic F14/F12 Value pack. 5 fans per pack and comes to like $4-5 a fan. Sucks if you only need one or two fans.
