I am going to replace the only two fans in my case with better fans but i am thinking that the intake in the front might be better to use a smaller fan and then a 120mm fan in the back for exhaust. Is this a good idea or should i keep both fans the same size? I also have room for one more fan on the side of the case but i dont think it will do much good but if i did put one there should it be an intake or and exhaust?

If anything, I'd make the intake the larger fan (I prefer a slight overpressure in the case.. keeps the dust out a bit better).

I'd go for 120mm intake in the front, and 120mm in the back as exhaust. Always use the biggest fan you can in any spot... smaller fans will mostly be noisier and push less air.

Personally, I don't use side fans. But if you plan one, it's an intake.

If you can use larger fans then do so every time, seems that having fans of the same size would be best though I am open to correction if I'm way off on that. If you do add another fan to the side experiemnt and see which gives you the better result.
