People on here have told me that the Big Typhoon is THE BEST air cooler available. But according to tomshardware, the Titan Vanessa is the best.

Which is better?

EDIT: Mistyped the title. Sry.

Theres a ton of speculation about what cooler is better. The problem is you can't really compare them as nothing is the same, they could use too much or too little thermal grease, they could use a crap cfm fan etc. It comes down to the fan, thermal grease and a bit of luck. I'd personally go with the typhoon and get atleast 80cfm fan.

BTW the lower the numbers the better, so actually the Vortex is crap.

big typhoon would be better than vortex..i trust toms hardware reviews just to be in the safe side i would suggest going with the big typhoon over the vortex..i mean the vortex had the worst review out of the 10 coolers..i dont see the reason why the vortex should be consider to be bought.

I'd go with the Typhoon over any of them, They most likely didn't use a nice fan on it, probably just the one they got with it. Although if you do buy the Titan and a high cfm fan for it, it could be better than a typhoon. (I can't seem to find specs about the fan that comes with it)

hah!!!! i was having a hard time deciding which of the 2 to go with actually thermaltake has gotten a good reputation so i would say the big typhoon is a good cooler too although i saw 1 bad review from it from somewhere which triggered me to switch to titan vanessa l type..this fan is good man very quiet and cool..im in the middle of overclocking right now and i got my clawwhammer from 2.4 to 2.7 and this cooler has kept my cpu at 35 on idle..so i would say this cooler is doing pretty good so far
