basically i am thinking of getting a new heatsink for my rig. I have been asking around and have found the two best heatsinks in ppls opinions are the zalman 9500 and the big typhoon but i cant get a deff answer which is best so im going for a poll and this is what i wil base my decision on. Also if u can sugeest any other heatsinks go ahead!!! cheers.

although I think the BT is better for cooling your CPU, the Zalman might edge it out in terms of overall cooling, like CPU AND case temps.(Presuming you have it pointed towards the rear exhaust)

agreed. My cpu runs real cool, and my case temp dropped by about 11c along with an extra intake fan. Made it easier for me to push my ram because it went cooler too. I like the fact that theyre 100% copper too. Id say go for the 9500.

well...like its been said...the BT is undeniably the better heatsink (size always wins ) but because its such a heatsink, it also has the double edged sword of raising your case temperature. With the CNPS, if you install it right, it will actually point the hot air from your case AND your cpu towards your exhaust and therefore out your computer.

BT is a better heasinks by 4-5 degrees celsius, but Zalman is a better general cooler for your computer.
