Do you have anything to back this up, nearly all of my experience overclocking over the past few years show a considerable increase in performance in regards to a higher core clock rather than memory.
my friend's xfx hd7970 under ek block oc to 1295core/1800 memory.
n he told me he's average FPS went way higher than higher core than low memory.
he's max fps shows 140 something at 64players in Map Metro.
I just did that, and i see a difference in GPU-Z
Default clocks changed
I knew the default clocks changed to 1ghz and 1425 on memory but wondering if theres anything that is different in regards to OCing ability. Did a little research and apparently it changes the fan profile too, however temps weren't an issue so i guess i'll leave it be unless I see something to the contrary.
