Hm might have to flick the switch and see if i can get different results since it "raises the limit for maximum overclocking"

not really.
my friend's xfx hd7970 under ek block oc to 1295core/1800 memory.
n he told me he's average FPS went way higher than higher core than low memory.
he's max fps shows 140 something at 64players in Map Metro.

I just did that, and i see a difference in GPU-Z

I knew the default clocks changed to 1ghz and 1425 on memory but wondering if theres anything that is different in regards to OCing ability. Did a little research and apparently it changes the fan profile too, however temps weren't an issue so i guess i'll leave it be unless I see something to the contrary.

sorry about that.

Since i switched switch to position 2, i noticed lower temps to be honest, so i like this change.

GPU Load at this time is around 20% and temp is around 38-41C.

I presume the temp drops are from the more aggressive fan profile, I wish I had a card that could OC better but.. it's a roughly 25% OC over a stock 7970 so not bad wink.gif

I think so too.

With that clock you will be fine playing any game now at full settings i am 99% sure of that thumb.gif

Just to add .. i am already thinking about getting 2nd when i buy my other parts for new system.
