Hello, i was wondering if anyone could help telling me how to do this.

I was wondering what the pros and cons are.

I want to know what happens if it screws up.

Just bought this for my new rig
(thanks Powertrip)

Well Il leave the flashing instructions to someone else.

However ill give you the pro's and Cons:

Pro's:

Increased Core and memory speeds leading to better FPS in most cases ( Depends on the new BIOS used )

Can Unlock more Piplines once again leading to better overall peformance and FPS.

Cons:

Heat Increase with core and mem speed increase

Faulty pipelines may be unlocked leading to artifacting and Instability in 3D mode.

If you where to hit a problem all you have to do is flash your card back to its stock BIOS.

His is the R423 core, which means it can be flashed to the x800XT.

I never bothered, though.
